More information about the course:
- A wide range of topics related to every-day life such as family, work, shopping, eating out, health, hobbies and interests, travel and holidays, socialising etc.
- Interactive teaching approach focusing on communication and students’ participation
- The course covers 4 main skills:
- reading:
vocabulary, grammar, reading-based discussions; text books / authentic materials used - writing:
e-mail, post card, informal and formal letter, academic English option, CVs, letter of application, story, composition - listening:
stimulating audio materials and activities with a wide variety of accents - speaking:
debating, speeches, small presentations etc., with a focus on pronunciation and intonation
- reading:
- Course books used include stimulating texts, grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking activities. They are also supplemented with other teaching resources such as games, role-plays, and authentic, up-to-date materials from various newspapers and magazines.
- Continuous assessment and regular progress tests
- Certificate of attendance and level awarded to students who have a minimum of 80% class attendance, and score the minimum average of 60% in their progress tests
- To fully cover one level please be advised that it takes about 120 hours / 10 months tuition
